I am delighted to report that the recent Cicra charity evening organised by Maxine Armitage was a tremendous success. On Friday 4th November, a packed audience filled West Ashton village hall for a heart-warming evening of demonstration.
For me, the most memorable and moving message of the night came from a lady who came through to apologise to her son (via her daughter-in-law). The lady who came through explained that she, too, had suffered terribly during her childhood and although it did not at all justify her actions bringing up her son, fundamentally it did at least help explain her behaviour and gave some answers. This ultimately paves the way for potential forgiveness. Please understand that this is not a glib remark, since the process of forgiveness is one of the hardest anyone can go through but well worth it! I would recommend Colin Tipping’s Radical Forgiveness as well as Deborah King’s Truth Heals.
